“Roots Resonance” è una performance che risponde alla chiamata del nuovo materialismo e della letteratura post -umana . Questa performance si propone di esplorare l’interazione tra l’ecosistema e gli esseri viventi e non viventi, non umani attraverso una critica del pensiero antropocentrico. In questo lavoro, che è anche una proposta di ricerca, si cerca di spostare il pensiero antropocentrico riscoprendo il rapporto tra uomo e natura attraverso simboli/metafore naturali come corda (legame) e corteccia (strato). Come metodo, si preferisce aprire uno spazio di dialogo tra il duo umano e l’albero che offusca i confini tra umano e non umano.

Una figura solitaria che rappresenta l’umanità sta di fronte a un albero. Le corde che simboleggiano le relazioni tra di loro creano una complessa rete di relazioni tra umani e non umani. L’essere umano si muove in relazione all’albero come legato a corde invisibili. Con i movimenti che si trasformano in rituale, l’uomo inizia ad accettare e portare la corteccia (strato di memoria) dell’albero, e l’albero, testimone silenzioso del tempo, trasferisce all’uomo con la sua corteccia il ricordo che ha accumulato nella sua corteccia. Attraverso il linguaggio del movimento e della metafora, la performance sottolinea il rapporto tra l’uomo e il paesaggio e il legame tra tutte le forme di vita.

“Roots Resonance” is a performance responding to the call of new materialism and posthuman literature. This performance aims to explore the interaction between the ecosystem and non-human living and non-living beings through a critique of anthropocentric thinking. In this work, which is also a research proposal, anthropocentric thought is attempted to be displaced by rediscovering the relationship between human and nature through natural symbols/metaphors such as rope (bond) and bark (layer). As a method, it is preferred to open a space for a dialog between the human and tree duo that blurs the boundaries between human and non-human. 

A lone figure representing humanity stands in front of a tree. The ropes symbolizing the relationships between them create a complex web of relationships between human and non-human. The human being moves in relation to the tree as if tied to invisible ropes. With the movements that turn into a ritual, the human begins to accept and carry the bark (memory layer) of the tree, and the tree, the silent witness of time, transfers the memory it has accumulated in its bark to the human with its bark. Through the language of movement and metaphor, the performance emphasizes the relationship between human beings and the landscape and the connection between all forms of life.
