It arises from the urgency to regain possession physical places in which to meet through dance, music and theatre.

upRisingUp – dance and performance is a home-place where the public is a guest and not a consumer. Where artists donate their work. Where you exchange views with a glass of wine and under the light of the sunset. upRisingUp is free and offers dance performances for theatres and informal contexts, site-specific productions, readings, exhibitions, concerts, workshops for all ages. In the heart of the Ostuni countryside, we revisit natural places and transform them into theatrical spaces. We involve the local community and connect artists from different disciplines and backgrounds with a heterogeneous audience

upRisingUp – dance and performance takes place every year in July nearby the city of Ostuni and is curated by the cultural association La Radice dei Viandanti ETS.
